FAQ's

Here are some common questions I get asked about the Walking Wine Tour, if you have a question that isn't answered below, please get in touch - I will be happy to help!

Do I have to drink?

No. Drinking is not compulsory. If you do decide to drink, you don't need to drink wine. Please drink responsibly.

How do I get a ticket?

Tickets will go on sale in early January, click here to add your email to the list to be the first to find out when tickets are on sale. Tickets will be purchased through this website. For ticket updates, sign up on the home page or join the Facebook event.

How much are tickets?

A ticket is $20. All of this money goes to the charity - the transaction fees are donated by Running In Heels Consulting.

When will the merch be available?

Merch will be available for pre-order ASAP - Bron Alexander (The Curious Illustrator) is just finalising the design and then the friendly team at Studio 386 will do the printing.

I can't make the Walking Wine Tour, can I donate?

Yes, that would be much appreciated, donations can be made online once the tickets and merch are available. You can purchase merch even if you are not attending the Walking Wine Tour - all profit goes to the charity.

Can I bring my baby?

I am really sorry, you cannot bring your baby. This is an R18 event.

Is the event wheelchair friendly?

Yes, all venues are wheelchair accessible. As an FYI the tour spans about 4km.

When will we know where we are going?

The tour is yet to be confirmed with each venue - those that purchase tickets will receive a schedule in advance. I can tell you that we are starting at Roaming Giant in Claudelands and finishing at House Bar on Hood Street in town.

I can't make it on time, can I join in later?

Yes, you can purchase a ticket and join in anywhere along the tour.

Will there be cheap drinks?

Each venue is asked to offer a Walking Wine Tour drinks menu - but pricing is at the discretion of each venue and they need to adhere to the strict regulations around the service of alcohol - at any time these venues may refuse service.

If I can't come will there be a refund?

Unfortunately there are no refunds - your ticket price is a donation to a registered charity. You can definitely give or sell your ticket to someone else though.

If the event is canceled will I get a refund?

In the unlikely situation that the event is canceled, yes, you will get a refund. There is no refund on merch however.

My merch doesn't fit can I get a refund?

Because all merch is ordered and printed on a  pre-order basis (and all profit goes to the chosen charity) unfortunately I cannot process a refund (I'm sorry, I know that might be disappointing - please keep this in mind when placing an order).
